Review # 1 was written on 2014-11-10 00:00:00 Ted Shatlan This has a very strong focus on labour, and very few mentions of women and girls. If one skimmed too quickly, one might gain the mistaken impression that class only affects men. That said, the inclusion of primary documents would make it a good jumping-off point for people interested in the history of male labour in Australia. |
Review # 2 was written on 2015-07-19 00:00:00 Kate Di Pietro This is the best book ever. I would say, however, that the part on logs gets a bit oldschool, considering it speaks of how to use those old tables, but it is a great study in general. The parts on variation, triangulation, and calculus are great sections in my opinion. The calculus section might take awhile to grasp, but it is worth it. Great book! Jeff (Author of Modicum). |
