Review # 1 was written on 2014-09-10 00:00:00 Mary Mazzone OK, according to James Loewen (Lies My Teacher Told Me), these texts (high school history texts) are biased based on many levels (one of the most interesting being the state the book is being purchased in--"nothing bad about our state, please"). But if you live in this country, you have a duty to those who sacrificed their time and very lives to get to know them, to know about this country, their country, yours . . . But even more so, you should be learning about what to do with your time, your life, your vote. Only by knowing your country will you truly use that precious vote for what it was intended. Read several of these books . . . and then some. Get that knowledge in your head, get it entrenched, and then and only then, will you make BETTER decisions. Don't be like the majority who squander their vote and their breath on what they know not.

Review # 2 was written on 2013-01-15 00:00:00 Khashayar Nemati As far as text books go, this is actually pretty good. It covers a large period of time, so you don't get much detail, but it's effective at making the events understandable.
