Review # 1 was written on 2014-05-15 00:00:00 Cas Dean I found this book this book to be one of the best designed mathematical textbooks that I've come across in my painfully long educational career. Hirsch not only takes the time to format the book so as to accentuate the most vital concepts of intermediate algebra, but he also gives you scores of detailed worked-out examples to ensure that the concepts find a purposeful application. I strongly recommend it as a great book to be used as a do-it-yourself guide through college algebra.

Review # 2 was written on 2014-09-08 00:00:00 Phyllis Hopper One of my math professors gave this book to me when I was in school. I've been thinking about going back and getting my Masters in math. I just wanted to see how much I remembered or could comprehend. I got through five pages in one lunch hour. But I understood it! This one will be on the "Currently Reading" shelf for a while. . .
