Review # 1 was written on 2016-08-07 00:00:00 Edgar Laboy Picked up a very very early addition of this book, tattered and taped together like a paper Frankenstein, in my early teens at some thrift store. It made me want to become an anthropologist. If I graduate this year, maybe I'll buy another copy because mine is a relic. |
Review # 2 was written on 2018-08-10 00:00:00 Joseph Bloch An interesting little book about sexual life and marrige of a specific group of "cavemen". Surprisingly, there are more commonalities than differences in their sexual life compare with modern western sexual life. Another interesting part is that the group of people the author studied lived in a matriarchal society. It can be seen that the roles of gender do not simply swap between men and women in a matriarchal society compared with a patriarchal society. The book is not very academical and it is fun in general. I recommand it if you are interested in life of "ancient people". |
