Review # 1 was written on 2018-08-04 00:00:00 Todd Conwell I think this has aged pretty well and gives a good high level accounting of different styles of programming languages. If you work in a polyglot environment this can help provide a general framework to organise your language experience.

Review # 2 was written on 2015-07-11 00:00:00 Brooke James This book I think is meant for undergraduates and doesn't really go into enough depth on most topics to be of much use to me. Only section that was somewhat useful for me was the references. Prefer Gries book to this.
