Review # 2 was written on 2012-08-19 00:00:00 Quentin Bentein This was one of my childhood favorites, the illustrations and wonderful poetry are stamped on my memories. I recently began reading it to my daughter and now appreciate the poems on a whole new level. One thing to be aware of, because it's so old there are some not so favorable racial references and slang to be aware of when reading to small children so they don't repeat or go around using those words.
