So far I've only read Deirdre Kelly's essay in here called, "A Critical Feminist Perspective on Teen Pregnancy and Parenthood," but because of it I'm really liking the book. It's set in Canada, rather than the more common U.S. and compares the two systems and concerns. '[for young working-class and ethnic minority women] To "choose" motherhood is to be suspected by modern feminists either of being victimized or of copping out. In neither circumstance is the choice ideologically acceptable.' (Nathanson, Dangerous Passage: The Social Control of Sexuality in Women's Adolescence. 1991: 222) (60) "The prevailing policy discourse condemns teen mothers, particularly those on welfare, as lacking in 'personal responsibility.' A critical feminist discourse would highlight instead how our major institutions have failed young people." (62) More to come since I have to read this book fast!

Surprisingly useful and easy to read textbook. Has helped me quite a bit in my psychology classes, and I find myself using this as often as my APA Handbook, if not more.
