Review # 1 was written on 2017-02-15 00:00:00 Majid Afayee Written in the 1930's, this book contains everything you would ever want to know about witchcraft and magic in western history including details of spells and symbols. Part history, part art history and part spell book. |
Review # 2 was written on 2014-02-02 00:00:00 Emilie Leveau This book was more of an overview of ancient occult artwork than any in depth review of the subject. Also, having read A LOT of occult, the subjects this author chose for review and hints at a belief in were often silly (e.g. Seriously; witches flying up a chimney to the Black Sabbath, where they dance and have orgies with satyrs prior to eating babies? Really?). The only parts that really broke my heart were the many chilling descriptions of the horrible tortures those accused of witchcraft were subjected to; including girls as young as 8 (If memory serves) being burned alive. Tragic. |
