Seymour Reit's Rebus Bears is the story of Goldilocks story redone with different color schemes as a sort of Rebus puzzle so kids can identify colors with different characters. IE: it's Goldilocks as told by Andy Warhol. Or something like that. Papa Bear in the story eats soup with his bear family instead of porridge cos let's face it porridge sucks unless it's the Quaker easy open baggie with maple and brown sugar. Papa eats from the red dish, mama from the blue, baby bear from the yellow. They sit in similar colored chairs, and sleep in similar colored beds (Papa: red, Mama: blue, Baby; yellow. You see how Rebus works? Ah, me neither. Anyway...) And interesting to note: Papa and Mama Bear still sleep in SEPARATE BEDS. If this doesn't put a strain on their relationship, I dunno what will. Anyway, you know the Goldy story so I ain't gonna spoil the ending for you. Some of us need a different painter to give Goldy and her bear friends a different color scheme. Maybe 50 Shades of Goldilocks? Wups! That's a fairy tale for, ahem, MUCH LATER! Three stars Might wanna take a different rebus! Otherwise, the bear trio still rule!
