Review # 1 was written on 2017-08-16 00:00:00 James Pace A good text for reviewing basic biological concepts or for those who missed high school biology. This text is definitely an introduction to the concepts presented, and readers requiring more depth should look for more subject specific titles. That being said, each topic is well illustrated with both diagrams and photos to enrich the explanations presented. Review questions at the end of each chapter provide reinforcement of the chapter's main concepts. One enjoyable feature of each chapter is the "Impact/Issues" section which discusses the chapter topic in relation to a current event, issue, or controversy. Animations that support the concepts presented are available online, although for an additional fee.

Review # 2 was written on 2020-11-17 00:00:00 Jeffery Paetz Basic stuff, but still very interesting.
