copyright:1999 Number of pages: Unknown Format: Hardcover reading level: Grades 1-3 genre: ABC book Lit. requirement: ABC #3 Summary: When reading this book you travel around the Americas, North, South, and Central. Each letter is something that is apart of those regions. After the word is given for the letter there are descriptions and information about them. The descriptions also have history about each word. The pictures are beautiful and colorful. This book also gives you some cultural knowledge about the other regions. Response: I love this book because as you read it you learn history about some of the Americas' culture and things common to them. I love how beautiful the pictures are also. I would recommend this book because of the information it gives and how it would entertain the students or children. It is also probable that the book would get them interested in different cultures.

This book uses an alphabet format to talk about the Americas, it explains animals, foods, traditions, housing and landmarks of North, South and Central America. I would use this book in my classroom to talk about culture in the Americas, or for kids to read on their own in the library.
