The Mexican War book is apart of the American War series and even though their is limited pictures, the details in the book about the war and the information given will make the reader not want to put this down. This text examines people and events in one of the most disputed wars in history. It discusses the origins all the way to making peace. Their is also a timeline, chapter notes, and further reading and internet addresses at the end of the book. When students read this book individually they will learn to make connections with the words because of the amount of detail the author uses. This book can teach literacy in a classroom by students reading a chapter at a time and after finishing the book they can compare and contrast this war to World War 1 or World War 2.

If i ever knew some of the facts covered in this audiobook, i had forgotten them. It was a great overview but doesnt get bogged down with a huge amount of details.
