My opinion is biased, since I co-wrote, -illustrated and -designed this book. But it is AWESOME! Little Lions talks about domestication and follows about 50 breeds through their transformation from working animal to pet, so that kids can see how their individual quirks relate to their original development. The illustrations also show kids what the dogs look like doing their historical job'something that you can't see anywhere else. The dogs are divided by their original use and cover a large variety of countries of origin, job, body type, and personality. There is even a section on mixed breed dogs and picking a dog as a pet. I can state for a fact that this book came about from a true love of and fascination for the animal, and was driven by years of study and research. It has won numerous awards. You should definitely check it out!
