Review # 1 was written on 2018-05-08 00:00:00 Michele Christopher Eldon enjoys watching all the carriages pass by, and longs to find his true love, to turn him into a prince with a kiss. A discombobulated fairy comes along, and muddles things up, and sends Eldon on a search to find his true love. But having no luck at all, Eldon returns to his mud hole empty handed, or so he thinks. Little did he know, his true love was right beside him all the time. |
Review # 2 was written on 2013-03-20 00:00:00 Jamie Kershaw The Hog Prince is a great, funny, and inspirational tale about a Hog who wishes to be a real prince! He is visited by a fairy who tells him that he can become a real prince if he finds his one true love and gives her a kiss. All the while he drags along his friend (another hog, but a girl) and he tries kissing all of these ladies and even mother goose, but he never changes into a prince. In the end he realizes that all along the princess he was looking for was his hog friend. They end up kissing, but he does not change into a human. This book was like a more comical version of the Frog Prince. I think that this book can be enjoyed by children of all ages, especially 1st-3rd. This would be a great book for beginner readers because the text is simple, easy to read, and not too lengthy. This is a great book when studying over different versions of the same story, because like I stated earlier, this is another version of the Frog Prince. This would also be a great book for picture walks because the book has very detailed pictures that include a series of cards, love notes, etc. This would be a great book to help students learning to write fairytales and fantasy stories. |
