Mind-blowing challenges to the medieval (and earlier) imagination of matters of faith in the light of up-to-date scientific knowledge. By no means putting God or faith in God in question, quite the opposite is true. It makes sense of many questions of faith to which the prevalent answers or ways to interpret them are still rooted in the ideas Christianity had many hundreds of years ago, when we still had very limited knowledge of our universe and our history on Earth. The author makes the point that we have to explain the matters of faith using the scientific knowledge of our world we have today, in order to keep our faith and be able to communicate its relevance to the people of today, instead of holding on to interpretations of faith that are scientifically proven to be incorrect.
