Review # 1 was written on 2017-08-05 00:00:00 Oliver Hearsey This book is really helpful! i loved how the writer approached the contrasting relation between law and major crisis in a very detailed, yet interesting and easy to comprehend way. the book conceptualizes the theory of emergency power in different modules in which it would be a must read for those how are exploring this area of law, the chapters keep over-viewing the opinions of influential legal and political thinker, from Locke to Schmitt. i don't think i have encountered any chapter and it didn't provide me of what i was expecting. |
Review # 2 was written on 2014-12-15 00:00:00 Erom Fonz I think everyone should read this right now. This volume corresponds so perfectly to the struggles and issues of America today- systemic racism, women's rights, immigration, states rights vs. federal control, voter suppression, the growing pains of modernization. It simply couldn't be a more important time to reflect on this period in American history. The series is aimed for middle grade readers, so the chapters are short, and the writing is engaging, with a lot of focus on the lives of important figures. Seriously- check it out. Read it to your kids, or read it to yourself. You will not be sorry. |
