Review # 2 was written on 2013-02-03 00:00:00 David Parsons A good book on selecting hens and cocks for selective breeding for desired traits such as egg production, dual, meat, etc... I did not use all of the techniques i.e. prepotency techniques since that has been proven to be not very effective. However, I extenstively used capacity, type, and condition techniques outlined in thr book. Those techniques have proven extremely helpful on my flock breeding. I highly recomend this book in conjunction with "Mating and Breeding Poultry" by Harry M. Lamon if you are new to poultry breeding.
