Review # 1 was written on 2008-01-17 00:00:00 Mike Cunt Great images, decent essays. Lacking in meaningful historical context for the California Gold Rush, but the images all together are really incredible. If you go to Gold Discovery Park or the Oakland Art Museum you can see many of them in person. I especially loved the exuberant oil paintings.
