Review # 1 was written on 2011-01-06 00:00:00 THOMAS MCCARTY A comprehensive, sensible, up-to-date and very practical reference book, backed up with the latest research, and including insights into international English and variants such as American English. It manages to be more comprehensive than Fowler, but also far less opaque. Indispensable, and not too bulky or expensive.
