Review # 2 was written on 2020-08-17 00:00:00 Robert Jobin Jr I feel the first two thirds of this book would appeal to archaeologists more than it did to me though it did set out a good deal of the religious history of India. I enjoyed the section on paintings much more; I was struck by how the development of painting seemed to have preceded European modern art by 150 years! I now wish to explore Indian painting (and photography) further.
