Review # 1 was written on 2012-11-17 00:00:00 George Hutchcraft Exactly what it says on the tin - it's a guide to Japan that focuses on the practical "How do I rent an apartment?" type of questions, rather than a broader cultural guide. For what it is, I thought it was reasonably solid except for one major problem - its section on health care completely left out how to go about seeking mental and psychological health care. Given how common such needs are, and given that Japan's mental health system is so far behind that in the US - or most other English-speaking nations, for that matter - I thought it was a huge oversight to leave that out.

Review # 2 was written on 2013-12-31 00:00:00 Pascal Schoon Pretty good. I was looking for an updated version of Living and Working in Japan and this definitely fits the bill.
