Review # 1 was written on 2009-09-12 00:00:00 Bart Kovac Clarke explores the relationship of "liberalism" (which is never defined in the text) and socialism, focusing on "progressives" (and pretty much ignoring anything else). He seems to view this as correlative to a relationship between ideas and political decisions, or between capitalism and democracy. If you read this be careful not to mix up J.L. Hobson, L.T. Hobhouse, and J.L. Hammond or you will be very confused and have to use a lot of white-out on your notes.

Review # 2 was written on 2008-03-02 00:00:00 Jeremy Lucas Intellectual biography of Hobhouse, Hobson, Wallas, and the Hammonds that doubles as an overview of Liberals' thinking towards socialism and liberalism.
