The book is filled with good information. However, some information doesn't fit all cultures or lifestyles. The book mentions that people get food from animals. This may not be applicable to all people. The book shares how people hurt and help the environment. Traits: Organization, Presentation Reading Levels: AR - 1.4 DRA - 8

A very simple look at the ways in which humans use, harm, and help the environment for beginning readers. Veg*n parent alert: One page contains the statement "We get food from animals," along with a photograph of people collecting eggs from a backyard henhouse. Of course, such operations represent only a tiny fraction of farming these days. If eating animals isn't a normality you wish to enforce, you'll want to be aware of this content ahead of time.
