Review # 1 was written on 2017-11-10 00:00:00 Keith Thomas I haven't really finished this book but referred to it as I was completing a chapter on soap opera, music and emotion. I investigated Irigaray's method of miming phallogocentric discourses which amounts to psychoanalyses of male philosophers. I compared this with mime in other genre. Whitford's book is a clear introduction to Irigary's work without removing the complexities and poetics of her style. |
Review # 2 was written on 2011-02-21 00:00:00 James Kennedy Excellent summary of Hegel. Convinced me that maybe there is good reason why so many have interacted with the man's thought. |
