Review # 1 was written on 2020-01-05 00:00:00 Geneva Karl I checked this book out from the library to help me crack codes at the armchair treasure hunt, but found it an enjoyable read all on its own merit. Who knew neckties were originally used as code?

Review # 2 was written on 2016-12-15 00:00:00 David Walsh The book is filled with a series of fun anecdotes about various codes and secret messages. Most anecdotes are less than 2 pages long, making the book perfect bathroom reading. While it was entertaining, I was looking for more in depth coverage of the topic, so this was not the book for me!
