Review # 1 was written on 2015-03-02 00:00:00 Brian Carmouche Still fantastic, though not as good as volume 1. I think Rothenberg and Joris could have left the U.S. out of this volume entirely, as there are much better anthologies of its avant-gardes (Douglas Messerli's From the Other Side of the Century is my pick... and maybe there are too many notes. But it's still a near-top-notch curatorial job.

Review # 2 was written on 2013-02-05 00:00:00 Uthaiphun Charuwattanakitti when I don't know what to do, lost, when I do know what to do, no matter what...always, always Poems for the Millennium blows my mind. There will be quibbles about who should and should not be included. I could join in, sure. As Foucault said, "criticism that hands down sentences sends me to sleep." Perhaps this is why I'm awake.
