Review # 1 was written on 2011-10-04 00:00:00 David Lewis This book is about all different types of fish from piranha's to angelfish. It teaches you that fish live in the water, have scales, where their environment is, if they have teeth, what they eat, their gills, and fins. It descibes their different features and what helps them survive. Quality of plot is it has a beginning and end. Very simple. Straight to the point. Age range would have to be primary. Very easy book to understand. Big letters. Very short. Actual facts to teach children new things. Artistic elements is that all the pictures were actual pictures taken with a camera. Very cool photos and pleasing to the eye. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fish and facts. Very interesting but cute. |
Review # 2 was written on 2017-06-09 00:00:00 Dante Jackson This book is really awesome! I thought that because my kids and I already know a fair amount about mammals, that we wouldn't get much out of it....but I was WRONG! They detail many different types of mammals: monotremes, marsupials, placentals, primates, rodents, lagomorphs, carnivores, insectivores, perissodactyls, artiodactyls, edentates, sirenians, cetaceans, and more! Fascinating stuff! Short info to just capture your interest and not bore you with too much detail. |
