Review # 1 was written on 2013-12-16 00:00:00 Scott Melanson Getting to Know the U.S. Presidents by Mike Venezia is my favorite picture book series on the Presidents. These books make history fun with their humorous cartoons and interesting easy to follow facts. Elementary schools and libraries would be remiss in not purchasing the entire collection.

Review # 2 was written on 2012-06-02 00:00:00 Avon Avell A fantastic biography that only spends about 2 pages on his presidency. The book covers his major exploits of early life, his time in the French and Indian War, and at Mount Vernon (including, but not belaboring the slavery there), the series of Acts that led to the American Revolution, through his death. Tables on various presidential information are included. Great for younger readers who are looking for an overview of his life that goes beyond his contribution in the Revolutionary War.
