Review # 1 was written on 2008-09-17 00:00:00 Juraj Sojka If you're interested in woodcuts I would recommend this book highly. The books covers techniques of woodcuts and etchings and explains the differences very well. The book also teaches you different woodcut techniques based on applications as well as layered registration prints. Mueller goes into detail on how to print using inks. I think I'll keep this book handy when I make my next woodcut, because there's some great tips that will help me create a beautiful piece. |
Review # 2 was written on 2007-11-09 00:00:00 Tung Nguyen just started gouging away on my first linocut last night. looking for more guidance, tips, etc. not a very good instructional book, esp compared to walker's the woodcut artist's handbook. this author is way too pompous and rigid in his views. but lots of nice images to inspire. oh, and my first two linocut prints came out quite nicely. |
