Review # 1 was written on 2021-02-19 00:00:00 Dean Lakovic This is an update, with much repetition, to Stirling's previous work "The Polar Bear". The newer work has more data including grave concerns to long term survival of the sea bear from the shrinking ice due to climate warning. Another concern about pollution and reproductive organ anomalies is also disturbing. Despite this, the work is a remarkable portrait of an amazing creature perfectly adapted to its environment. And the updated photos are breathtaking.

Review # 2 was written on 2012-11-18 00:00:00 Paula Weinacht An exceptionally well documented volume. A must read for all who are interested in the life and preservation of these amazing creatures.
