You can't mark this kind of books that you have finished them. If you are an architect you have to check this book regularly. Well illustrated and described architectural details with pros and cons of a variety of solutions. Highly recommending.

Pamela Horn has written a series of wonderful books on everyday life in the Victorian age in England. Her earlier offerings include The Victorian Town Child and The Victorian Country Child. Her books combine detailed research, first person accounts, and vintage photography, as well as art from the era. The result puts you in the period in a way that few historians can. This book is a worthy addition to her oeuvre.
