Review # 1 was written on 2013-05-19 00:00:00 Klaus Ehrlich I keep this book at my bedside to read because I love reading about the cranes. Each spring thousands of people come to central Nebraska just to watch the cranes. They better keep coming as who knows how long they will last. Or how long the Platte River will survive.

Review # 2 was written on 2014-06-22 00:00:00 Janet Gorth A lovely summary of cranes in North America with a short briefing of the other crane species. Though in need of updating it is still a useful primer for crane biology and history.
