This book very much feels like the chitchat that happens just before lesson starts. The first part adverts the mathematic in general manner, talks little about its history, key concepts. Uses vogue phrases a lot that makes you smile as you get the reference as if you were talking with these men themselves. And the second part is where math starts, basics of calculus in a nutshell and served with physics to make it more tangible, to show it is "useful". One negative thing, while reading, I feel like I am too often being disrupted by this "with our body & soul project". It feels like advertising at some point. But nothing can be more usual for a book dedicated to acquaint "the body & soul project". Too good for a book that you just see from the shelf of the uni library while wandering pointlessly. I may be update this post some with quotations from the book.

5/28/2015: So far: A very rigorous text! However, I would refer to other sources (lecture videos, notes, etc.) to grasp a better initial understanding on measure theory itself, and a rather reasonable comparison of Riemann vs. Lebesgue integrals. Note: MITOpenCourseWare unfortunately doesn't have the lecture videos available, but mathematicalmonk on youtube gives an understandable introduction to measure theory in his Probability Primer's series. 12/8/2015: We went through THE WHOLE BOOK in our measure theory class. I will not comment on how the professor taught the class, but I would have been a lot more pleased if there were more examples and some sort of solution manual/hints for problems in this book. In general, I think having some sort of verification for one's solutions for any problem is essential to her learning process.
