Review # 1 was written on 2016-01-26 00:00:00 Tina Garrity I am currently reading this book for my Fundamentals of Financial Management course. The chapters are long and much to read in only 6 weeks which is the length of each quarter. The material is detailed with tons of information but at times the diagrams are hard to follow, but the book is full of great information, really good for people who are majoring in accounting. The book is a bit much for people who have to have take this course per their requirements for their major as is in my case (health care management), but there is a lot to learn in this course that we obviously have to know.

Review # 2 was written on 2018-07-11 00:00:00 Amy Lorentzen Brigham and Houston's text seems pretty informative, but I found myself frequently supplementing this text with additional resources. I also found that some of the concepts presented were not explained clearly or sufficiently enough for introductory financial management students. At best, this book serves as an introduction to new concepts that the reader will need to research further (and, in some instances, much further) on his/her own to develop a good fundamental understanding of financial management.
