Review # 1 was written on 2013-01-29 00:00:00 Kellie Abrams This book is an excellent primer for any business owner looking to obtain financing from a traditional lender. Often times the loan process can be intimidating, and having a book such as this one is definitely a helpful aid. Mr. Green does a great job explaining the SBA process for the layman, but my only complaint is that the book is already out of date. It is definitely hard to keep up with the changes within the SBA, so the blame shouldn't be placed on the author. If you own a small business, or think you may want to own one someday you should read this book as it will help you understand the basics of business. This book not only explains what the SBA is and how it functions in conjunction with traditional lenders, but it also explains the best way for you to get financing. It helps readers understand what a business plan can do for a small business and it helps you understand what a loan officer is looking at when you present a request for money. This is a must have for any up and coming entrepreneur; however, it is definitely not a bedside read. So, I would caution you not to expect an easy flow with this book. This is more for reference as you make your way through the loan process.

The author stays on point and presents the material in an easy to comprehend format.
