You need to read this book for the right reason. If you're wanting to learn to write Java code you've made a tactical error, there are much easier ways to go about it. If you've already learned Java and have nobody to commiserate with as you're writing code, this is your ticket. You'll find fine little rants about topics like trying to accomplish useful work using Java IDEs, comments on the foibles of farmers and rabbits, interspersed with vaguely useful information about the Java language. As the author says, "Mr. Bunny's Big Cup O' Java is recommended by n out of ten doctors, where n is any integer you wish to make up to impress an astoundingly gullible public."

While not quite as funny as the ActiveX one, this is a good follow-up. Fortunately Mr. Egremont fixes some of his errors from the ActiveX book, and instead of all the confusing diagram and visual numbering, he keeps this one much simpler, image 1, diagram 1, picture 1, and so forth. Since I know more about Java than ActiveX, I'm more confident of the technical quality of this particular book.
