This was my stats book, which teaches handy things about statistical and data analysis. While it was for my class, I have referrenced it for work for data analysis. Why should other corps members read/not read this book? Generally, most people wouldn't want to read it because it is a textbook, ie., fairly boring material. But for a textbook on stats it really wasn't bad. The author had a sense of humor and explained things way better then my professor actually did. Also you get to learn fun words like heteroskedasticity. But if you want to know about stats, particularly regression, this is a good book.

A great book to get hang of the basic statistics or econometrics required if one is working in data science domain. Its not too heavy on maths and yet conveys the key concepts in a lucid way. Also its not a typical heavy textbook trying to refer to the notations defined in chapter 1 in chapter 20. So, you can actually read it at a much faster pace. Definitely recommend it has the first book for any college grad with no economics or stats background.
