Review # 2 was written on 2013-07-21 00:00:00 Jennifer E Combs I bought this way back in the early 90s when I had Jean-Claude as a lecturer for my BA (Hons) French & Communication Arts degree at Huddersfield University. Jean-Claude was always interesting, a dynamic teacher who could literally teach you 1000 French words in an hour, which he did. I think that lecture is a chapter in this book, which was the grammar book of choice for his students. I'm kinda sad that this edition is superseded by a further edition by someone else. I'm pretty sure the fundamentals of French Grammar have stayed pretty much the same in the last 30 years or so, and if you find yourself with a copy of this book, you're in luck, because you're in Jean-Claude's capable hands.
