Review # 1 was written on 2020-04-05 00:00:00 Norm Slack Outstanding and dense book on the writings of Chretien de Troyes, an author as mysterious as his writing is perplexing. Of particular interest is the demonstration that at center, the Grail isn't Welsh but a complex layered story deriving its origins from Sufi thought, Greek and Islamic alchemy, as well as the Jewish traditions around mysticism so prevalent in Andalusia. |
