Review # 1 was written on 2020-03-25 00:00:00 John Balgalvis I agree with some of the core ideas - the balance between freedom and limitation, the dread of expansion or constriction, and meeting clients at the level of existence which they are ready to confront. While the book merits respect for its attempt, as an existentially-minded person, I found this a weak presentation of the core existential position. I found the concepts not well-defended and hollow at times. It's heading in the right direction, though. |
Review # 2 was written on 2017-12-13 00:00:00 Gabriel Rieger Good book for graduate students in psychology. This book establishes some theoretical frameworks badly needed in the discipline of existential psychology; at the same time, it retains a poetic beauty suitable to the therapist who wants to have a soul. |
