Review # 1 was written on 2014-04-17 00:00:00 Nathan Chapman Iii This text needs an update, but it is the best thing out there when approaching the topic of health from a cultural perspective. I do this in my classes despite the academic tide of placing health behaviors into the realm of neuropsychology, where everything else is going. The struggle carries on. |
Review # 2 was written on 2016-12-31 00:00:00 Daniel Lawson I'm staunchly pro-life. Even given that, it was a joy to read this book. This is hands-down the best defense of abortion currently available. If you wish to keep up-to-date on the abortion issue, and know what the best arguments in support of the pro-choice side are, this would be the book to read. It is a little bit of heavy reading but he thoroughly examines just about every pro-life argument that's worth mentioning in this book. I think ultimately his case fails, but I think he does make many valid points in the book. |
