Review # 1 was written on 2013-04-28 00:00:00 Jay Polru Schmitt contended that people are a polity only to the extent that they share common enemies. He saw the liberal notion of a peaceful world of universal citizens as a sheer impossibility and attributed the problems of Weimar to liberalism and its inability to cope with pluralism and political conflict. |
Review # 2 was written on 2019-05-11 00:00:00 G. Kelly Schrift gives a very good account of Nietzsche's influence on Derrida, Foucault and Deleuze. Especially in the Deleuze chapter when he shows the similarities between Deleuze's ANTI_OEDIPUS and NIetzsche's A GENEALOGY OF MORALS. I liked the book so much I am translating it into persian! And I like it because Schrift is very sympathetic to the Nietzschen philosophers of the 1960s. |
