Rating: 5 stars Well-written and covering a diverse range of literary topics from the Romantic period, this collection of essays gives a truly well-rounded examination of Romantic fiction. I highly recommend for anyone studying the Romantic period and not only its literary icons, but also the long-forgotten classics.

Am intrigued to read this. I went to university with Caryl Phillip's brother Tony, which I know isn't the best reason to read a book, but it's one reason!
