Review # 1 was written on 2014-04-06 00:00:00 Peter Brakeley Alcohol and Drug Misuse: A Handbook for Students and Health Professionals has been a great help for my university course (Criminology, module called Substance Misuse and Offending). It contains lots of useful and up-to-date information, which helped me to learn more about drugs, their misuse and the available treatments. The writing style is easy to understand and in addition, you have the section with knowledge check activities at the end of each chapter. I feel I gained a lot of knowledge from this book. The only downside of the book is that the knowledge is presented in descriptive format (helps to understand, but lacks critical arguments).
