Review # 1 was written on 2016-11-25 00:00:00 Bernard Bani Excellent introduction, very cogent and easy-to-read language, and I assume the content is adequately and encyclopedically assembled. |
Review # 2 was written on 2016-02-07 00:00:00 Eric Solk Teaching the Male Brain is a pretty good book, especially for beginning therapists and parents or families. I was able to use this book to refresh my knowledge on the topic, but had to skip many pages and chapters as the book is rather long. The chapter on Social and Emotional Differences is quite useful for parents and families. There are a few "clues" or tips on how to help developing boys. For example, Abigail James explains that boys look up to their male teachers and peers for information on how to function in the world. She also gives teachers tips on how to adjust their classrooms. Overall, this book was average, but useful for an easy understanding of the issue. |
