Review # 1 was written on 2014-07-23 00:00:00 Mike Carter A very good exposition on a developmental perspective on identity formation through an account of five major theorists: Erikson, Blos, Kohlberg, Loevinger & Kegan. While the book is clearly developmental in perspective, the author clearly appreciates the role of social and cultural context for identity formation (albeit it falls outside the scope of the theorists discussed). The book is clearly structured and biographical sketches are used to enliven the theorists. |
