Review # 1 was written on 2011-08-14 00:00:00 Thomas Wickey varying approaches to digital/technological/computer literacies, and defining literacy in relation to the digital. a bit outdated at this point because technologies change so quickly, but their approaches to and work in defining literacy are very pertinent to current approaches to literacy and technology in the classroom. |
Review # 2 was written on 2014-07-20 00:00:00 Eric Kessler I read this purely for the historical aspect of nursing. I didn’t expect that I’d get a good laugh every few pages. Florence Nightingale was one sassy/sarcastic lady. Ms. Nightingale is my 18th century spirit animal. Besides the humor that I so enjoyed, it was an interesting perspective on some aspects of nursing during the 18th century. Im convinced that if every medical professional had the forethought and “common-sense” nursing perspective, as Nightingale called it, the world would be a much better place. |
