I almost didn't read this book because of its awful, awful cover. (It's much worse in reality than it looks in the picture.) Isn't that pathetic of me? And how much I would have missed. I wanted to highlight so many things to remember, but it was a library book, so I couldn't. Parts Two and Three I paid particular attention to. It's definitely one I'll be adding to my own library. The author, Barbara Steinau, has over 50 years experience working for, directing, and founding preschools. She is also the mother of three and a grandmother. I love her practical, compassionate, observing approach to children that shines through in the book. She gives valuable real life scenarios and practical advice on handling them and she does it in a way that doesn't make me feel stupid. There were so many times I cringed as I was reading because I am guilty of doing some of the things she says to avoid. But always as I was reading I felt like "I can do this. This makes sense to me." If you are trying to better your relationship with your young children, and not feel like you are just existing from crisis to crisis and tantrum to tantrum, read this valuable book (with the very bad cover.)

Nagyon jó könyv! Egyedül a versek fordítása elég gyenge...
