Review # 1 was written on 2015-03-28 00:00:00 Irene Brunnthaler I picked up this book because I was interested in learning more about Hegel's philosophy in regards to History and Marxist thought. I'm definitely not ready to tackle Hegel's writing without a little guidance. I found this book to be a good guide to Hegel's "Philosophy of History". The author broke down very complex passages until they were understandable. I have never studied philosophy extensively so my opinion is largely uninformed. However, I believe the book provided what I wanted from it. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to get a better understanding of Hegel's influential philosophy of history. |
Review # 2 was written on 2016-04-22 00:00:00 Michael Lyons Too short for me but dense. Some great literary criticism makes me want to know more. On to Vico's work. |
