Review # 1 was written on 2014-09-12 00:00:00 Greg Fisher Read Chapters 3 & 4 on Consequentialism and Kantianism for my Ethics paper (Phil 102). Good overview of both theories. A lot of insight into both. Quite binary - Benn often attacks a theory by finding binary tensions within the theory but does not interrogate it until synthesis, just claims the theory is illogical because the binary tension exists. I want to read the chapter on free will post-exams. |
Review # 2 was written on 2017-07-24 00:00:00 Jari Viitala If you are looking for a process philosophy approach to theory of mind and consciousness, the is THE book to read. Griffin's book has a clear, lucid writing style which is something of a rarity among process philosophy literature in general. |
